buyaigear

About

buyaigear is independent and self-funded, with no vendor or manufacturer behind it. It started as a desktop widget that watched eBay for one particular GPU, and it became a site when the same question kept coming back: what does it actually cost, today, to run a given model at home?

What the site does

Every 15 minutes it pulls the live eBay listings for each tracked product, throws out the brackets, cables, empty boxes and whole PCs that match the same search, and keeps the cheapest listing by item price plus shipping. For every product it estimates which reference models fit at which quantization and roughly how fast they would run, from the model's published architecture and the hardware's published bandwidth. The arithmetic is on the methodology page, and every estimate says what it assumes.

How it makes money

Vendor links are affiliate links. eBay Partner Network and Amazon Associates pay a small commission when you buy after clicking through, at no cost to you, and that is the only revenue. Rankings, prices and estimates are never influenced by it: the cheapest listing is the cheapest listing, whoever is selling it. The disclosure page has the details.

What it does not do

No sponsored placements, no paid reviews, no badges for sale, no tracking beyond a privacy-respecting analytics tag described in the privacy policy. Prices are observed, not promised; the vendor's price at checkout is the one that counts.

Get in touch

Corrections, missing products and spec errors: support@buyaigear.com, or the request form. If a listing slipped through the filters, say which one and it gets fixed the same day.
